Yacht Charter Day 1

After the Captain’s briefing and lunch, sail to Deep Bay – a charming anchorage with a long sandy beach. Snorkel or scuba dive the ship wreck “Andes”. This three masted ship set fire and sunk in 1905. It sits upright on the bottom, encrusted with sponges and coral. She provides shelter for big schools of small fish and many larger reef fish.

Yacht Charter Day 2

Explore Nelson’s Dockyard, a spectacular restoration of Britain’s main naval station during the 18thc – completed in 1745. Now a National Park, you can appreciate this outstanding historical monument, a fitting base for many super sailing yachts.

Sail to Antigua’s Eastern most tip – Green Island

Yacht Charter Day 3

Unspoiled by buildings it is a bird watcher’s paradise, abundant with red-billed tropic birds, white crowned pigeons, ospreys, night herons and pelicans. Anchor for the evening in Nonsuch Bay, a reef-protected expanse of water covering several square miles. It is a perfect, quiet spot with great snorkelling.

Yacht Charter Day 4

Barbuda is a low long island which is only 125ft above sea level. Dotted with coral teeming with every kind of fish, it is excellent for snorkelling.

There are endless pale pink beaches with not a soul on them, the largest being unbroken for about 11 miles. Ashore donkeys, horses and deer roam wild and there is a large frigate bird rookery – as large as those in the Galapagos.

Anchor at Cocoa Point for the evening.

Another day sail – this time a down-wind sail to Nevis.

Yacht Charter Day 5

A down-wind sail to Nevis – if the wind conditions are right sailing a colorful spinnaker.

Your captain will clear customs and immigration at Charlestown – a picturesque country town with many historical buildings of stone and wood.

Enjoy the spectacular views of Nevis Peak or explore the old plantation Inns and the Botanical Gardens.

A short sail takes you to the neighbouring Island of St Kitts.

Yacht Charter Day 6

St Kitts is a green and peaceful island with a dramatic mountain range rising 3,750 ft high.

It is a rewarding Island for those who like to explore; visit the capital, Basseterre – a delightful old town built to the water-front with architecture that varies from solid British to fancy French. Brimstone Hill has a wonderful old strategically placed fort which has been painstakingly restored and offers outstanding views.

Anchor for the night in Southern St Kitts, Ballast Bay or White House Bay which both offer excellent snorkelling and quiet beauty.

A morning sail along the west coast to Basseterre

A leisurely morning sail along the beautiful west coast to Basseterre, where you will depart the yacht and take a short Island hopper flight back to Antigua.
